I went outside yesterday and took pictures of the mock orange entwined with the dark pink rosebush. Gorgeous!

In less than stellar news, it appears that the peach rosebush in front has met its maker. Oh, well, I think the tiger lilies overwhelmed it.

It's very muggy today, but not too warm, somewhat like the 29th. Very uncomfortable!

The back yard is nearly all clover. Not only is this good for the soil (clover, like legume vegetables [peas and beans], puts nitrogen back into 'tired' soil), but it also doesn't have to be mowed! And, it looks good and feels plush under the feet. Excellent...

Today is lovely and mild, with a light breeze. More roses are opening up, plus the mock orange plant which is intertwined with the big rose bush in the back.

Today's been cooler, with some humidity. We keep getting thunder and a little bit of rain but no downpour. This has been going on for the last few days.

We've got an iris riot going on! There's a bunch of pale purple ones, plus some smaller yellow ones out front. Even the neighbor across the street has several white irises in his (her?) front yard. I think conditions this year (a cool, wet Spring) have made it fairly well ideal to grow irises, my favorite flower.

There's a rose blooming in the front, and one in the back! They're a deep pink. Not quite red, just dark pink. More roses should open up in the next couple of weeks.
